New England Quest

As my devoted readers know, my mother's cousin is getting married, so my family has agreed to attend the wedding held in the great state of Maine. I don't know my mom's cousin, (or most of the people going to the wedding), but i'm sure i'll have fun. We are going to stay in a nice cottage, and go camping in Acadia National Park.

On the way to Maine. we will hit all the New England states that I have not been to, meaning that I will be one of the privlaged 13 year-olds to visit 44 states. We are still putting togather all the plans for food, accomadations, and transportations. But we have a week before our departure, so i'm sure we'll figure it all out by then.

By the way, sorry for the delay on this post. I have a hard time keeping up with my blog. So i'm not always on blogger. If you need to talk to me i'm usually on Facebook and every onc in a while, Myspace.

Summertime

Hey everyone! I'm back after a huge lull of blogging. It's been a month or two since my last post, but I will try to stay on track during the summer. On that note I am exited to say I will be going to the Creation Fest for the first time this year. I was going to go two years ago, but that was the sad year when it got stormed out. Last year we went on our cross-country trip, so Creation was excluded from our summer schedule. But this year I will finally get to go to Creation. Unfortunatly, My first Creation will be without Relient K (my favorite band).

Also sometime this summer I will be going to Maine for my mother's, cousin's wedding. There we will stay at a nice cottage, and do some camping. After this trip I will be one of the very few people that have been able to go to 44 of the 50 states before the age of 14! After this, the only states I will have not been to are: North Dakota, Alaska, Hawaii, Nebraska, Kansas, and Florida (who hasn't been to Florida?). Hope to hear from you all.

Glory at the Gardens

For the next three Sundays after church, a bunch of people from our church will be heading up to Busch Gardens to see some christian concerts. Also before and after the concerts, me and a few freinds might catch some rides, maybe Apollo's Chariot or something.

We really want those seats filled though, because a guy in my parent's sunday school class works at Busch, and pulled alot of strings to get this to happen, so we want sucess for him. These concerts for the next three Sundays will include bands like Pillar, Third Day, and Thousand Foot Crutch, and a bunch more bands.

Mom's Books

As my followers may know, I was ashamed to not have read my mom's books. Well I have completed "The Chrysalis" (great book), and I am a good way into her sequal "Drink the Rain" (so far also great). So now I don't have to live under the shame of not reading at least the first of her books. If you have not read "the Chrysalis" then read it.

Busch Gardens

Today for a fun day to conclude project 757, we went to Busch. We split up into groups and I hung out with 4 other kids, and we rode a lot of roller coasters. I never thought i'd enjoy roller coasters so much, but after riding the ones i hadn't ridden before, i loved them. We ended up riding Big Bad Wolf once, Lochness Monster twice, Alpenguist twice, Apollo's Chariot three times, and Griffon three times. My favorite is defenantly Alpenguist.

Some where inbetween all that we ate lunch at the Fest Hause in Germany. We rode The Tradewind in Italy a few times, and Corkscrew Hill in Ireland. I had so much fun, and I had no idea I loved roller coasters so much.

757 Day One

Today i did my first day of project 757 [which for those of you who are just joining the group of readers, project 757 is a teen community service project for my church]. We all arrived at church just aroud 8:30 this morning. Today there were three groups, one group went to the food bank, another went to the Carenet pregnancy center, and the last group stayed at church, [this is the group I was in].
We helped our custodian take out trash and do other various tasks. then we took a lunch break. Then we drove to a Wal-mart parking lot a picked up trash. All the groups met back at the church student center around 3:30 PM. It was a good, productive day. Tommorow they will switch up the teams, and the places people go. {hope I go to the food bank.}

Marlins lose 4-3

I had a soccer game today at 9 AM. Now I normaly play left forward or mid-field. Then coach said that i was playing defence. Now i have never learned to properly play defence whatsoever. We started to play and by the middle of the first half, Barracudas are up 3-0, but by the end of the half we tied it up. Second half remained scoreless until the last three minutes of the game when they scored and they beat us 4-3. :( hopefully i'll play a position i know how to play next time. Now the coach knows that i play mid and forward, but he was "switching things up this game". Well hopefully we'll win next game.

Airsoft Today!!!

Today, David [friend from school], is having airsoft from 12:33 to 4:06. Can't wait, considering it's been a while since iv'e played airsoft with my friends. Airsoft, for those of you who don't know is a type of gun that you can shoot at people without killing them. [the ammo is kind of like paint balls exept they are round, plastic and roughly the size of a pea]. They only kind of hurt depending on the kind of gun. The gun pictured above is the type of gun i have exept mine is clear instead of black. And the picture below is what the ammo looks like [in a case]. So i hope to have fun today. [thank you Mom for letting me go, :)]

Striving to Strum

I took my "piece-of-junk" guitar into the shop the other day, and the dude put in the missing string and tuned it up, and today I learned 21 chords, and how to play "twinkle twinkle", "O to Joy" and "hail to the Cheif". later i will learn some more exiting songs, but for now i'm satisfied.

This new instumental knowledge will help me get my band off the ground and maybe actually release an album. thank you to all the supporters and freinds out there, you are appreaciated.

Fire in the Hole!!!

"Put it out! put it out!"
These are the words of a frantic student trying to douse the flaming paper towel in his hand.
That student is me. In science class today, we were heating beakers of water on hot plates, my freind, David and I were next to eachother waiting for the water to heat up, when i siad. "hey, how are we going to pick these up, thier really hot."
David said, " I don't really know, good point"
"well, we could use paper towels" I suggested.
So when I started to pick up the beaker, paper towel in hand, the paper towel burst into flame! I noted this at once, and after about 3 frantic blows i had stopped the flame. Some students laughed others were freaking out. But i didn't burn the school down, we all had a good laugh about it in the end [including the teacher].
Come to think of it, I think I left the singed towel on the counter.

Will 2008 Be Great?

Speaking in perspective of January 2nd 2008, I admit 2007 will be missed. It was a year of memories, change, and newly aquired knowledge. Hopfuly speaking I do hope that 2008 will be everything i want it to be and more. Another hard thing to think about is a kid born in 2000 is turning eight this year, sure make me, a young person, even feel old.
"i hope the new year brings as much joy as this year has brought us" -Relient K
